The Suicide Poem - A Teenager's Cry For Help

Hanging On  - A Teenager's Cry For Help

If you are suicidal and unable to express your anxiety, show this to a responsible adult and tell them you need immediate help.

I'll hang myself tomorrow, or hang myself today -

The timing's not important. Just need to get away.

Don't blame yourself. It's not your fault. Just recognise the truth.

I cannot cope, I'm drowning with expectations of youth.

My neck was made for better use than keeping rope apart -

But snap it will. No use pretend last minute change of heart.

My cry for help is fading. Hear it while you may.

Attend me. Bathe my mental scars. My execution stay.

I'll see this evening's sunset but not tomorrow's dawn

Unless you help the plight of one regretting he was born.

Reach me. Hold my head above the flames of hell below.

Allow me access to your love. I've nowhere else to go.

If blind you are and missing the path of tears I tread,

You'll lose me. Gone forever. You cannot raise the dead.

So save me now while there is breath and time to do the deed -

Allay my woes. Subdue my foes who cause my heart to bleed.
